A: Direct reading is a feature on the numbering head tooling that easily displays the reading to be marked. The direct reading is shown with the Blue Arrow in the picture below. The white arrows are engraved on the numbering head and the marking legend that will be marked is displayed between them. The Red Arrow is the location of the actual marking characters. These characters are both in a hard to read location, and backward.
